How is Izizwe Connected staying safe during the pandemic?
Izizwe Connected and Dance Studio are following all CDC guidelines for health and safety. Izizwe Connected will never have more than 9 people in the space to include students and staff.
We are taking the following precautions to ensure the safety and well being of our staff and students:
Each day students will be met individually by one staff at the door or in the parking lot and escorted into the building. Students will individually be walked out to their cars by one staff member at the end of each day to ensure safety during pick up and drop off.
Masks are required by all staff and students at all times. Disposable masks will be on hand should anyone need an extra.
Temperature checks will take place upon arrival each day of all staff and students.
Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be established throughout the studio, hallways, and bathrooms.
Breaks for hand washing will occur frequently.
Only one student is allowed in the bathroom at any time. They will be escorted by a staff member to ensure proper hand washing techniques take place.
Students will have access to their own individual storing space that will be disinfected each day. Their spot will remain consistent throughout the program and will not be used by anyone else at anytime.
Anything a student receives while at Izizwe Connected (ie. books, notebooks, pens, pencils, art supplies, etc.) will remain in their cubby and will not leave the studio until the end of the program or the completion of a project.
Students will have individual squares, marked off my tape, to stand during movement, theatre, music, and art time. The squares will remain 6 feet apart and will be consistent each day.
Students will have their snacks in their squares while remaining 6 feet apart and thorough hand washing and sanitizing will take place before and after snacks.
Staff, along with building maintenance, will thoroughly clean, disinfect, and re-stalk supplies in between each session.
Registration begins August 3rd, 2020 on a first come first serve basis.
Only 6 registrations per session are allowed.
